Rasoi Buddy (“we”, “our”, “the app”) helps households manage kitchen inventory, meal planning, and related features. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices.

1. Information we collect

• Account information — When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from Google, as allowed by your Google account settings.
• Kitchen & profile data — Inventory items, expiry dates, meal logs, dietary preferences, cook profiles, shopping lists, and similar data you enter or generate in the app.
• Images — Photos you choose to upload or capture (for example, grocery bills) for scanning and inventory features.
• Payment information — Subscription payments are processed by Razorpay. We do not store your full card or UPI credentials; we receive payment status and identifiers needed to activate your plan.
• Device & technical data — Basic device information, app version, and API request metadata (such as IP address and timestamps) needed to operate and secure the service.
• Notifications — If you enable meal log reminders, the app schedules local notifications on your device; we do not use them for marketing.

2. How we use information

• Provide and improve app features (inventory, meal suggestions, diet insights, billing).
• Authenticate you and keep your session secure.
• Process subscriptions and support upgrades via Razorpay.
• Run AI-assisted features (meal suggestions, bill parsing, etc.) using our backend and configured AI providers.
• Send optional product emails (for example, diet digests) only if you use features that trigger them.
• Comply with law and prevent abuse.

3. Third-party services

We use trusted providers that process data on our behalf, including:

• Google — Sign-in (Google OAuth).
• Cloud hosting & database — Application backend and data storage (for example, Google Cloud).
• AI providers — To power suggestions and document understanding (for example, Groq or Google Gemini, depending on configuration).
• Razorpay — Payment processing for subscriptions.
• Expo / EAS — App builds and delivery infrastructure.

These providers have their own privacy policies governing how they handle data.

4. Data sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with service providers listed above, when you direct the app to open WhatsApp or other apps on your device, or when required by law.

5. Data retention & deletion

We retain your data while your account is active and as needed to provide the service. You may sign out at any time. To request account or data deletion, contact us at the email below.

6. Security

We use industry-standard measures such as HTTPS for API communication and secure session tokens. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

7. Children

Rasoi Buddy is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal data. Contact us to exercise these rights.
